I don’t want to be a young man who keeps on asking for a change, I want to make one. I want to make the place I live on better! And Nutrifood has facilitated in doing so through Nutrifood Leadership Award (NLA) 2011.
I am sure that the achievement I’ve gotten as the winner doesn’t mean I am the best. This achievement indicates that I must continue and develop the movement I initiated. This must not stop when Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011 stops. I have a moral responsibility to keep on developing the movement, to make the place I live on, Banten, better and more.
I am sure as well that this achievement is not solely based on my work alone. There are God, my parents, my friends, and ultimately Nutrifood who has held the event, and meet me with the other 24 students from the best universities. As the youngest finalist, it is me who has learnt so much from the others. I’ve learnt team work, friendship, openness, togetherness, and also leadership. Out of them, I’ve realized that Indonesia definitely has many national leaders-to-be, who are more than ready to make the better Indonesia.
We are the next national leaders, we have integrity, moral, and character has committed to make a better Indonesia – The Words of NLA 2011 finalists.
1st Runner Up:
Muhammad Ardi Kurniadi (Telecommunications Engineering – Telkom Institute of Technology)
Thanks to Nutrifood, who has given such a wonderful learning process through Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011. Not only having been given the experience and the training, we also got the opportunity to meet the other 24 leaders, who are wonderfully able to share those invaluable stories. Through Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011, we are triggered to initiate such social movements. Therefore, leaders learn not only through a training process, but also apply the learning-by-doing based process among the society, in which morale and values are more easily developed.
So many things I have gotten from Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011, and it’s not only the 1st runner-up achievement. It minds me much on how we are taught on leading with the morale value of loving freely. Then, every leader should be able to lead, offer the values and beneficial roles whenever and wherever.

2nd Runner Up:
Andre Wijaya Binarto (Communications – Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta)
“A leader is someone who always searching for a solution in every single problem but looser is someone who always searching for a problem in a solution that offered to him”
To find solutions, to be persistent, and to be strong are the things I’ve been learning since the beginning of Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011, since the audition when we were asked to exhibit our public speaking skill, discussion, and interview until the time we have become finalists. There is definitely a personal fight I’ve done before I went to Jakarta to present my movement and join the training. A week before the quarantine, I got an accident, and a chickenpox. I’ve lost my presentation files together with my baggage on my way to Jakarta, which spent me two days to find it I had to make a new presentation file and a whole newly bought personal needs. I’ve learnt to keep on trying to find solutions and whatever needs to be done to cope with the problems, and at the same time to be strong to face it.
I feel so lucky when I know I was still able to join the event, which was held very attractively by Nutrifood. The thing I am very grateful for is not the reward I’ve had, but it was meeting the other 24 wonderful people with the same vision: to make the better Indonesia. The leadership training at SLDC (Sentul Leadership Development Center) has been an awesome prize from Nutrifood, all are unique and give good impression, including the material, the exercise, and the character development. From the moment we came to the moment we went back to our places, Nutrifood has given so much, the event is structurally tidy. The people are kind and helpful.
Allow me to say it once again, thank you Nutrifood, for a meaningful event and an unforgettable experience with many precious persons.
The Most Favourite:
Aditya Dwiputra (Industrial Engineering – Universitas Gadjah Mada)
When I got The Most Favorite, I feel very happy, proud, and relieved. Why? I am finally able to make my family proud, especially my dad, who has been such an inspiration and a motivator for me in doing the movement Concern Cancer.
The movement is inspired by my dad, who has been having a cancer, and has never given up fighting the disease. Concern Cancer is made to raise the people’s awareness all across Indonesia, to raise their concern on cancer, so that we can put the amount of infected people to minimum.
The Most Favorite is just a tiny bit of the happiness I’m having, out of my true happiness in which I could meet the 25 finalists of Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011, who are definitely great, have such characters, morale, and very inspiring. They have been such the new family, who has been very kind to me. I am sure they someday will be such blessings who are able to make the better Indonesia.

Special Achievement Award

This competition is definitely not the first competition I joined, and this is why I daresay that Nutrifood Leadership Award is more than a competition. Not only fulfilling my expectation of becoming an ideal competition which combines talents, social awareness, hard work, and friendship, NLA also gives a real impact in the society. More than that, NLA got me to know (and befriend) with such a group of people coming from different background with a big vision, ready to hit the score with real projects. Thank you NLA!
Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011: The Next Social Leader
Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011 auditions were finally held in 4 cities: Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Jakarta, in order to find young, potential and influential leaders. This is the 6th generation of the search of young leaders, who have passion in their respective fields. More than 500 students from various universities participated in the audition. All contestants sent a CV to the committee for a pre-selection. Participants who have been invited look very enthusiastic when queuing for their numbers.
The audition began with the participants introduced themselves and shared their leadership experiences, in which the judges will also indirectly assess the public speaking skill of the contestants. In the second round, they are divided into several groups, each of which will discuss a topic or an issue. Each participant was given the opportunity to express their opinion on the thrown issue. The opinions they expressed on the stage surprisingly left the judges confused in determining who is worthy to advance to the next round. Finally there were number of semifinalists from 4 cities, among which will 25 finalists will be selected for the final round in Nutrifood Leadership Award 2011.
According with this year’s theme of “Turn Ideas into Movement through Social Media”, each finalist is required to make a campaign through social media to make a change. Who has the greatest influence in social media, and who is going to be the next young leader? Who will win Nutrifood Leadership Award? Wait for our next coverage!

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, give a man a fishing rod and you feed him for a while but teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life time”.
Nutrifood Leadership Award (NLA) for me is one of the great opportunities that I ever had to develop my leadership skill. It opens my eyes to understand the essence of leadership starts from small things and our own selves thus we can enhance our potential comprehensively. The leaders need to empower the others and focus with their visions, being discipline, have a great passion and good moral to unleash the truth power from their team. In this point of view, NLA trained us to focus with “what we have” and how being visionary to achieve goals with appropriate strategic ways through seminar, discussions, case studies, bonding, games, out bond even real implementation to the society in 3 days. The most important key learning that I gained is the leaders need to use not only his intellectual but also their emotional, spiritual and physical power to encourage appropriate orientation through good interaction manner with others.
I want to say many thanks for Nutrifood Indonesia and all of supporting parties. Basically, all of the participants have their own strength and potential & I believe that we already delivered our best during the transformation process in NLA. Thus, it becomes my pride to have the honorable place as 1st runner up in Nutrifood Leadership Award among greatest young people in Indonesia.
As leaders, we need to make decision as a team & build strategies based on team capabilities and vision. Set our targets, believe with ourselves, believe with our team and believe that we will achieve our targets with well coordinated manner together. Every day is a gift so DO MORE for every day that we have!
Lastly, I guarantee to you that you will not have any waste time during NLA and you will have great network as the bonuses through your new awesome friends in here. Our nation is waiting for us so keep moving forward, guys..^^
